Balik kampung.

Hari ini saya balik kampung saya. Balik Kota Belud. Pegi tengok majlis orang kawin2. Tapi sebenarnya nda sempat pun jumpa para pengantin. Nda sempat pun baca siapa nama pengantin2. Nda sempat pun ucap "Selamat Pengantin Baru".

What is more interesting is to see the people enjoying themselves during these events. There are notable social clans, as I see it. You can see those who prefer to talk amongst themselves (the semut) ; those who smile and introduce themselves to other people whilst always on the move (the butterfly); those who try to get the latest news from everyone (the lalat); and those who are there but not really there (the belalang).

I am the belalang. Because belum dapat lagi jadi lalat atau butterfly. Instead of blending with the social entity, I blend with the environment. Mulutku makin senyap. Mataku makin kecil. Colour bajuku tiba2 jadi hijau kali, ahaha!!

Oh. What I love about balik kampung is to see all the green green nature. Sedap mata memandang.

Use somebody.

On my way to learning 'Use Somebody' by Kings of Leon. Sudah sampai part intro, tapi masih broken minded sikit. Dan sekarang sy sudah ngantuk pula.

Here are the lyrics. Tiba2 mau bagitau juga ba:

I've been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see
Painted faces fill the places I can't reach
You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody

Someone like you and all you know and how you speak
Countless lovers under cover of the street
You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody
Someone like you

Off in the night while you live it up I'm off to sleep
Waging wars to shake the poet and the beat
I hope it's gonna make you notice
I hope it's gonna make you notice

Someone like me, someone like me
Someone like me, somebody

I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now

Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody

I've been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see

Somebody like you <----- FOCUS here, ahahah!! If you are that somebody; add me on msn. Kita cakap2 sikit sana ok?

1431.

Just thought that everyone should know or be reminded that today the Muslims celebrate their new year: Awal Muharram.

Dan, bukan mcm Western punya culture the new day starts after Maghrib prayers. So....tadi lepas aku semayang boleh sudah bersemangat tukar2 status di Facebook Twitter MSN segalaaaaa. Happy New Year!!

2010 tu lama lagi. 2 minggu lagi. Lagipun nda juga aku celebrate tu. Usually I will be looking at the clock for midnight and then tidur. Ahaaa, celebration paling budget dan minimal!!!!

Ndapa la. Depending on the circumstances, I might celebrate a bit more this time around. Tua sudah ba.

Whether it matters or not.

I want to share this story with all. May it gives those interested eyes out there some wisdom. Go on read it.

Two beggars used to live outside a village. One was blind and one had no legs. These two were in the same 'profession'. Both were competitors. It is very difficult for them be friends. They even label their clients. " Jangan kau kacau orang ni ah...this is my client. Don't youuuuu beg from him. " (Kesiannn)

One day the forest near the village, caught fire. Then what happened?

- IKLAN SEKEJAP -

So when the forest was on fire the two beggars panicked (biasala tu). They were enemies and not speaking but this was an emergency. So what to do? The blind man said to the legless man : " I don't like you but aku kesian kau juga ni. So what if you sit on my shoulders; use my legs and I will use your eyes. That is the best way we can save ourselves".

It was immediately understood. Temberang or no temberang, this was survival. The legless man accepted the facts:

1) Legless can see but he cannot run.
2) The blind man cannot see but he can run.
3) They both needed to run away from the fire.

So they cooperated. And then they were both saved. They became friends and lived happily ever after (part tu aku tambah2 saja).

But apa erti semua ini?

Well. It was meant to talk about your intellect and your heart. Nothing to do with beggars and fires. You are on fire, whenever you face adversity.

Alone, your intellect is blind. It has legs, it can move fast with all the glory of the cerebral cortex. But it cannot choose the right direction in which to go. Because so, it continues to stumble, fall and get hurt and starts to question why it does things sometimes. Is this probably why intellectuals say " Life is meaningless" ?

Then you have the heart which sees and feels but has no legs. It doesn't do much. It only offers its opinion and sense of direction. The heart remains where it is, beating and waiting...for the day when the intellect will finally understand and will be able to use the heart's eyes.

You will need both intellect and heart. But remember the intellect has to accept the heart above its shoulders. It has to. The heart has no legs, only eyes and intellect so intellect has to listen to the heart and follow its directions.

Wisdom comes through the meeting of the heart and the intellect.
